196 Mountain Biking
The 196 Mountain Bike (196MTB) team is a cycling team that develops riders and competes against other teams in Minnesota under the rules of the Minnesota Cycling Association (MCA). We balance the competition of a team with other aspects of a club to keep the sport fun and enjoyable for riders of all ability levels. The 196MTB team is a fun and inclusive family-oriented community that builds life skills through the sport of cycling.
The season runs mid-July through mid-October.

End-of-Season Banquet
The end-of-season banquet is on Thursday, October 23rd, and we are prepping for it! We seek volunteers to help before, during, and after the banquet.

Needed: Team tent volunteers + food donations
Pulling off a fantastic race day requires a village! Please sign up to volunteer your time and/or donate food to the team for Saturday and Sunday of the next race weekend.
Needed: MCA race-day volunteers
As a member of MCA, our team is obligated to fill volunteer hours for all MCA races. This year our team has an assignment for all races: timing and scoring! It is a simple (and seated!) assignment where we record finish times to backup the automatic timing.
This is a RACE-CRITICAL ROLE so we MUST fill all slots!
If your rider is racing this year at all, we need you to sign up for at least 1 shift, preferably more! Please do your part.Sign up using the following link!
Empower Youth Fundraiser
Donate to Empower Youth for 196MTB! Your contribution is tax deductible and 100% of these donations go directly to the team to help us fulfill our mission of getting "more kids on bikes." This includes providing scholarships for kids who want to to be on the team but need financial assistance to participate.
