Volunteer
Our team runs on volunteer energy—and every family plays a role in making the season successful.
Because 196MTB is a community-based program, we ask each rider’s family to contribute time throughout the season. This shared commitment ensures we can safely support every rider, keep practices running smoothly, and deliver a high-quality experience for the whole team.
Ways to help:
- Be a Ride Leader

Trail work
Sign up to support our home trail at Lebanon Hills! Shifts are available on Tuesday, May 19th and Tuesday, June 9th starting at 5:45 p.m. for 2 parents and 8 riders each. See more details below.
Trail work expectations
- Safety comes first—no exceptions.
All participants must complete a waiver (valid for the full season). Minors require a parent/guardian signature (see attached). - When and where
Trail work takes place on Tuesdays. We meet at the trail shelter at 5:45 PM and head out at 6:00 PM. - What to bring
Please bring water and wear gloves, long pants (or other protective wear), and eye protection or glasses. All tools are provided. - Timing
We typically work until sundown, but participants are welcome to leave early if needed. During the practice season, team members should plan to leave early to make wheels out. - Group size matters
To keep things safe and productive, we aim to cap each session at around 10 team members/parents/coaches. - How we work
We’ll break into smaller groups and spread out across different projects. - Supervision
Please maintain appropriate coach/ride leader-to-team member ratios. - Stay updated
Check Facebook page "Lebanon Hills Mountain Bike Trail" for updates on meeting locations, changes, or weather-related cancellations. Else trail work updates provided via the Trailbot where you should register as volunteer. - Community service credit
Trail work counts toward the 3-hour community service requirement for earning a high school letter.
