Captains

Captain role summary

Captains act as student leaders representing the 196MTB team within their assigned pods, at practices/events, and overall help ensure rider safety.

Captains will participate in the following:

• Provide mentorship and leadership to all riders (MS & HS)
• Prioritize and assist with all team events, including practices and races, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities and social and community events
• Assist the coaching staff in practices with drills, games, and technique demonstrations
• Mentor new and/or younger riders
• Assist with trail work
• Assist with Social Media postings
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Captains attend pre-season training, assist coaches during practices, and commit to prioritizing all 196MTB events including race, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities and social/community events.
